Biography

B.S. Chemistry, 2018, Murray State University, Murray, KY

I grew up in Carrollton, Kentucky and I completed my undergraduate degree at Murray State University. While researching in an environmental analytical chemistry lab, tutoring and working as a TA, I realized my love for teaching. I came to the University of Iowa in Fall 2018 to pursue my Ph.D. where I found my interest in Chemical Education. I joined the Cole group in Fall 2018 because its outlook on teaching and goals of finding more effective strategies to do so aligned with my personal goals and outlooks. I enjoy watching loosely historical TV shows, crafting (especially cross stitching) and playing board games. I hope to gain valuable experiences while I continue to pursue my dreams of becoming a Chemistry professor.
