Biography

M.Sc. Marine Biology, University of New England (2021)

B.Sc. Marine Science, University of New England (2019)

Growing up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, I attended the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, getting my Bachelor’s and Master’s in marine biology, and doing research on fish behavior. During this time, I had the opportunity to both tutor and teach a variety of courses across the traditional sciences, which I found exceptionally rewarding and engaging.  This new interest led me to look for a program that would allow me to continue my education in science and teaching, while contributing to research improving teaching and learning within universities. CER was the perfect match. It was also conveniently in Iowa City, where I had since moved as a thriving transplant. In colder months, I enjoy reading and working on handicrafts, while in warmer months my turtles and I roam outside, though they can’t join me biking or kayaking.
